Second Avenue gates to Diana, Princess of
Wales Hospital will be
closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm each weekday Jan 9th - Feb 3rd 2012
Due to the
roadworks on Scartho Road at its junction with Sutcliffe Avenue, the Diana,
Princess of Wales Hospital will be closing the gates onto Second Avenue between
9.30am and 3.30pm each weekday.
This is
because yesterday an increasing number of vehicles used the site as a
cut-through, meaning that at one stage the site became gridlocked, making
patients late for appointments, and meaning access and exit for ambulances
became difficult.
The Trust
apologises for taking this action, and would ask any patient who may have used
the Second Avenue entrance for the hospital to allow plenty of time, and use the
main entrance to access the hospital, while the roadworks take place.
