Together, we have formulated consensus guidelines for the diagnosis and management of primary immunodeficiency diseases and allergies. The Consortium arrangement enables sharing of clinical and nursing expertise, audit of each others practice, regular educational meetings, and mutual support. TRIAC operates within the larger UK Primary Immunodeficiency Network, which covers all primary immunodeficiency centres across the UK. Guidelines for investigation and management of primary immunodeficiencies are contained in the Compendium of Immunology which is published twice a year. Word files of the information sheets contained in the Compendium are available for departments to download and incorporate in their local information systems:
DisclaimerThis website is for the use of Immunology Doctors and Nurses in the TRIC. Other immunology centres are welcome to view our guidelines, but should work through them themselves, adapting them to local requirements. Please bear in mind that the guidelines are regularly reviewed and will change over time. Patients are welcome to read these Guidelines, but should bear in mind that these exist only to guide clinical care - not dictate how an individual case must be managed. Your case may be managed quite differently, yet completely correctly, by your Immunologist. Clinical judgement overrides these Guidelines at all times. |
