Introduction
The Goole Neuro Rehabilitation Centre (GNRC) was developed as a joint venture between the
Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals Foundation Trust to provide
post acute specialist care and social rehabilitation to people in North Lincolnshire and the surrounding
areas.
Located within Goole Hospital, GNRC is a 14 bed purpose built unit with 12 individual rooms
and two twin bays. The environment is pleasant and roomy providing space for therapy activities, a large
lounge with flat screen TV, DVD and client computer, a separate dining room and access to an enclosed garden

GNRC provides for the individualised assessment and rehabilitation of clients with acquired
brain injury and other neurological conditions. Our assessment and community reintegration service provides a
continuous link for each individual through their pathway of care, from inpatient services through to
reintegration in the community.
Clients benefit from the input of our extensive multi disciplinary team including two
Consultants in Rehab Medicine, Consultant Psychologist and A grade Psychologist, Staff grade Doctor, two
Occupational Therapists, two Physiotherapists, a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, Staff Nurses and a
number of specialist trained rehab support workers. Clients also benefit from easy access to a range of key
NHS services e.g. diagnostics and dietetics. |
