Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital

There is a stock of approximately 7,000 books and holdings of almost 1,000 journal titles in both paper and electronic form here in the Library, and a group of friendly and helpful staff to assist your Library needs.

Membership of the Education Centre Library is available to all Trust staff, as well as University of Hull nursing students, University of Sheffield medical students and Hull/York medical students on placement at the Trust. Primary care staff may also become members of the library via an Associate Borrower scheme.

Scunthorpe General Hospital

The resources in the Healthcare Library reflect the categories of membership and funding streams, and cover medicine, nursing, allied professions and management. They are available to all members of the Healthcare Library and include:

• Borrowing books
• Journals (for use in the library only and are not to be removed, but individual articles may be photocopied within the guidelines of the Copyright Law)
• Video Library
  Members may borrow up to two videos for a 48-hour period. Alternatively, a private study carrel, with television and video, can be pre-booked. A full list of video resources is available from library staff.
• Medical models
  The Healthcare Library has a collection of anatomical models that are available for use in presentations, teaching sessions, etc. Some of the most expensive or fragile models, such as the skeleton, must not leave the building.
• Photocopier
  The photocopier is available for use on a 24-hour basis. It is activated using a flexicard, which can be purchased during opening times.
