IntroductionNursing/Midwifery studentsThe Practice Placement Facilitators are here to support you whilst you are on placement. If you have any questions or concerns then please ring us to arrange an appointment or come along to one of the support surgeries. They are advertised within the Trust and on HYMS Blackboard. Accessing Nursing and Midwifery EducationWorking in partnership with Hull University and the Workforce Development Confederation, nurse training and development is sourced, provided and in most cases funded. If you are interested in accessing Nursing and Midwifery education but unsure of how to go about it, please contact us. We can give you information on entry requirements, how to apply and what the programme entails. Return to Practice StudentsIf your registration as an Adult Nurse has lapsed and you would like to reinstate your registration, then the trust would like to talk to you. The Trust currently works in partnership with Hull University on the Return to Practice Programme. The Trust facilitates the placements on all 3 sites and the University facilitates the programme. There is an interview selection process to go through before you will be accepted onto the programme. Overseas Nursing ProgrammeThe Trust are working with Hull University and from September 2006 there will be an Overseas Nurses Module available for nurses from outside the European Union who have confirmation from the Nursing and Midwifery Council that they have met the requirements to attend such a programme. The programme is an academic module of 20 credits at diploma level and a placement within the Trust for the 20 days required will be arranged following interview. Professional DevelopmentThe Trust offers staff many professional development opportunities, these include in house programmes, access to degree, diploma and masters programmes that are facilitated by the Faculty of Health and Social Care at Hull University and access to external conferences and study days. |
