Local supermarket Sainsbury’s in Grimsby is fully backing the Rear into Gear appeal which has been launched in aid of the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital. The superstore, which is located on Corporation Road is planning a series of fundraising events to help swell the coffers of the hospital’s official charity, The Health Tree Foundation (HTF) in its bid to raise £200,000.
The Health Tree Foundation’s Rear into Gear Appeal is bidding to bag a massive cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative. Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 – raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores - being awarded to local community projects.
