Appointments to board

Two Non-Executive Directors (NED) have been appointed to the board at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.

Michael Whitworth is a new appointment while Neil Gammon returns to the role on a one year fixed term basis.

Michael Whitworth

Michael, who lives in North Lincolnshire, has a long history in the NHS with more than 25 years’ experience with 15 at board level. He has worked for the Department of Health, at NHS England, for Commissioning Support Units, Trusts and Clinical Commissioning Groups. He joined the Trust in January on a year’s contract.

He said: “Having spent many years working with the NHS around the country I have been looking for opportunities to contribute to my local health community. I am very much looking forward to working with the rest of the board to help the Trust continue on its improvement journey.”

Neil Gammon

Neil, from Grimsby, was a NED for seven years up until August 2017. Since then he has chaired the Health Tree Foundation Trustees’ Committee on a voluntary basis and will continue to do so alongside the NED role.

Neil’s experience includes working as a lecturer at the University of Lincoln and as a member of the Humberside Police Authority after 37 years in the Engineer Branch of the Royal Air Force. He said: “I am delighted to be returning to the role and remain committed to supporting the Trust to deliver high quality, safe services.”
