Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust now has a small number of patients that have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Patients are being cared for in line with national infectious disease guidance. Patients and the public can be reassured that the Trust is well prepared to care for patients with COVID-19 with the right infection prevention and control measures in place. It is still safe to come to our hospitals if you need to do so but we’re asking visitors to follow our revised visiting arrangements which are available here.
We would like to thank our staff for working tirelessly to ensure we are prepared to care for patients who are diagnosed with COVID-19 as well as all our other patients.
Patient confidentiality is our top priority and we will not be providing a running commentary on those patients affected, who we wish a very speedy recovery.
Dr Kate Wood, Medical Director at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole FT said: “We can confirm that we are currently caring for patients who have tested positive for the COVID-19 infection. They are being very safely cared for by our highly skilled teams and all of the appropriate protection measures are in place.
“As always, our prime concern is to respect patient confidentiality at all times and we would ask everyone to do the same.”
As always, our prime concern is to respect patient confidentiality at all times and we would ask the media to do the same. For this reason we will not be providing a running commentary on the numbers of patients or the condition of any patient in our care.
