Staff nominated as part of Teaching Excellence Awards

A number of staff at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust have been recognised at the Hull York Medical School Teaching Excellence Awards 2020.

The annual event recognises the outstanding work and commitment of clinical tutors, placement teams and support staff from across the region, whose dedication ensures that students on the Medicine and Physician Associate programmes at Hull York Medical School receive an outstanding learning experience, both on campus and on placement.

The awards are entirely student-led, with nominees and winners in each category selected by students.

Undergraduate Medicine Phase II and III Teacher of Excellence Award (This award is given to tutors who have exceptional knowledge and understanding of their specialist area; communicate effectively; and motivate and inspire students by delivering exceptional medical education)

Team Excellence Award (This award is given to NHS teams or groups of staff who, during clinical placements, have taught or supported students, helped or inspired them, gone that extra mile to ensure they have a positive and fulfilling experience, and worked well as a team)
