Staff strut the catwalk to raise money for appeal.

The dedicated staff raised a whopping £660 which will go towards the parent bed appeal which has been launched by the hospital’s charity, The Health Tree Foundation.

The £20,000 appeal was launched 10 weeks ago for the Rainforest ward and has so far hit the £13,000 mark. The aim is to buy new parent beds for the ward so people can comfortably stay over and be with their poorly child.

The fashion show, which was organised by staff from the Rainforst ward, was held at Cleethorpes’ Linden Club. The designer clothes were provided by Lincs Fashion.

Rainforest staff swapped the ward for the catwalk at recent charity fashion show.

Rainforest play specialist, Paula Staines, said: “The evening was a great success. As well as the clothes, which people could buy, we also had a raffle. We were overwhelmed with the support from local businesses who generously donated.”

Charity community champion, Katie Hubbert, said “It is amazing how much has been raised so far in just a short space of time. It would be great if the local community could get behind this appeal and push us over the £20,000 to make this dream come true.”
