Dr Kate Wood, Group Chief Medical Officer, says:
“Over the past few months, the Fit4Life events have been touring local hospitals in order to help us tackle some of the bigger health issues affecting people across our region.
“Smoking, drinking, poor diet and physical inactivity can all have a detrimental impact on a person’s health and mental wellbeing but they are all factors we can influence to a greater or lesser extent.
“Fit4Life is run in a fun, engaging and non-judgmental way, creating the perfect environment in which to drop in and get some expert advice on what might work for you. You’ll learn about steps you can take right now that will make a big difference to your wellbeing while accessing valuable resources and chatting to our health experts.
“Sometimes people just need a helping hand or a bit of guidance to get them started, and with January being the month of New Year’s resolutions, we’re hoping our teams can give visitors to the event the tips, support and the encouragement they need to kick-start a healthy 2026 and to improve their quality of life long-term.
“Our hospitals are always here to help, but we want people to live as well as possible for as long as possible. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to take charge of your own wellbeing.
“Come along, bring your friends and family, and let’s make North East Lincolnshire a healthier place together.”
