Need to cancel? Save time, do it online
Following guidance from the NHS nationally, Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust is cancelling non-urgent operations and some routine appointments to allow it to focus on patients needing urgent and immediate treatment during the busy winter period. Please note all cancer operations and time-critical procedures will go ahead as planned.
If you were due to attend an appointment for surgery, as a day case patient or at one of our clinics, during January and it is one of those affected we will contact you directly. We would like to apologise for any delay in your treatment and will give you a new date as soon as we can. This affects appointments at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby, and Scunthorpe General Hospital. Appointments at Goole and District Hospital are not affected. The national advice, which has received extensive media coverage, comes from the NHS’s National Emergency Pressures Panel and is part of its Winter Pressures Protocol.
Based in Grimsby the hospital has one of the most advanced emergency care centres in the region, modern en-suite maternity facilities and a £4.4 million oncology, haematology and rheumatology unit.
