What if we told you you could buy a cute new bag AND get that fuzzy warm feeling of knowing you’re doing your bit for a good cause.
Well, thanks to talented Medical Laboratory Assistant and Phlebotomist, Glenda Coates, now you can.
Glenda is well known for her beautiful crochet creations, which she makes and sells to raise money for the Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bikes.
And this time she’s switched it up, creating beautiful bags you can clip to your belt loops – perfect for your coins, keys, ear pods or doggy treats.
She said: “In my role, we work closely with the Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bikes. It’s a completely voluntary service, which takes samples and blood products all over the country.
“They do so much for us – we’re picking up the phone three or four times a day asking, ‘can you take bloods here? Can you take bloods there?’ and I wanted to give something back.”
So far, Glenda has raised £200 for the cause and is hoping this latest venture will help to take that total even higher.
If you’re interested in buying one of her creations, which are yours for a donation of just £3.50 each – or you have ideas about what she could create next – drop her an email to [email protected] or text 07984643363.
