Are you caring, compassionate and a good communicator? Do you want to make a difference to people’s lives? Maybe looking for a career change? If this sounds like you, why not join us as a Healthcare Assistant.
At our open days in September, you will have the opportunity to find out more about the role, be interviewed and you may even be offered a job on the same day!*
Jenny Hinchliffe, Deputy Chief Nurse, said: “Healthcare Assistants play a vital role in providing care to our patients and making sure they are treated with dignity, understanding and empathy. We’re looking for people who can offer our patients the care you would wish your loved ones to receive.
“You don’t need to have previous caring experience, so this is the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to get into a caring role. We will provide you with training to help you to develop the necessary practical skills for your role and support you to gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate. For anyone keen to develop within nursing and the NHS, this could be your first step into a long and rewarding career.”
As a Healthcare Assistant you will provide hands-on care for our patients which can be a demanding but very rewarding job. You will be an essential member of the team, working closely with other staff such as nurses, doctors and allied health professionals to ensure patient safety.
Healthcare Assistants carry out a wide range of duties in a variety of settings, including our three acute hospital sites, Grimsby, Goole and Scunthorpe, and our community services based in North Lincolnshire. There are many different areas to work in including our wards, our emergency departments, critical care, outpatient clinics or in the community.
Jenny added: “We’re offering full and part-time positions at Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole hospitals, or in the North Lincolnshire community services. Places at the open days are offered on a first come, first served basis and they’re filling up quickly so please book on if you’re interested in joining us.”
