Families across North Lincolnshire are using their school holidays to raise funds for families using hospital services in Goole, Grimsby and Scunthorpe.
The Health Tree Foundation is about to launch its Scrubs Summer Challenge 2026, packed with fun activities, family adventures and even a few jobs to help around the house to coincide with the start of the school holidays.
Lucy Skipworth, Charity Manager for the Health Tree Foundation, said: “Our Scrubs Summer Challenge is a fun-filled way of keeping the kids entertained during the school holidays without hearing ‘I’m bored’ every five minutes.
“It’s turning everyday activities into something extraordinary, showing your children how they can help other people by simple acts while making memories and having fun.
“You can start whenever it suits you, complete fun challenges together and raise money for a brilliant cause that is making a difference to the lives of local children and their families.”
Each challenge pack comes with a suggested list of activities including litter picking, helping a neighbour or relative, going for a walk, reading a book, helping with small household chores or tidying bedrooms. There’s a suggested sponsorship of £1 per challenge, with a goal of completing at least 10 activities.
Every penny raised will support the Health Tree Foundation’s Little Lives Appeal, helping children and families across the hospital, including Children’s Outpatients, Maternity, NICU, and other vital children’s services.
If you’d like a Challenge Pack before the school holidays begin on 23 July, email [email protected] with your name and postal address.
