Your health will always be our top priority – including protecting you from flu this winter.
It’s why we believe it’s very important to give all our staff the opportunity to have the annual flu vaccination – no matter what their role.
From the doctors and nurses treating you to the porters, catering teams, facilities and admin staff keeping our hospital running, we offer the vaccine to all our teams.
The reason for this is to protect you and your loved ones from the virus should you need our care this winter.
We also want to protect our staff and their loved ones too.
Winter is always our busiest time and we want to do all we can to keep them safe and well as they continue to work tirelessly to do the same for you.
And this year we’re not stopping at offering protection to those in Northern Lincolnshire and Goole.
Protecting the vulnerable around the world
As part of our vaccination programme this year we’re also giving a donation to UNICEF’s Get a Jab, Give a Jab campaign, which will provide vaccinations to vulnerable children across the globe.
Last year more than 70% of #TeamNLaG took up the offer of the vaccine, so together we can make a real difference to those who have no other access to health care.
Christine Brereton, our Director of People and Senior Responsible Officer for our winter vaccination campaign, said: “If the last two years have taught us anything, it’s that we all need to look out for each other.
“Here at NLaG we’re in the fortunate position of being able to offer all our staff the opportunity to have vital vaccinations, such as those protecting us from Covid and flu.
“However, there are thousands of vulnerable children across the globe who don’t have access to any kind of health care.
“By making a donation to UNICEF on behalf of all our staff, we are enabling this fantastic charity to reach out to more of those children and offer them the protection from disease that we take for granted.”
While we’re not offering the vaccination to the public at our hospital sites, we’re backing our colleagues in the community in encouraging as many people as possible to receive it.
