How we can help
We can provide advice on a range of equipment available to help you at home including wheelchairs, hoists, walking frames and even home adaptations including stair lifts.
Our community equipment store is based in the centre, where you can loan and return equipment. We have a demonstration area featuring a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and lounge, where you can see how each item would work for you at home. Our occupational therapy team can assess your needs and if there’s something you need that’s not available on the NHS you can also purchase items from us.
We offer a drop-in service for assessments between the hours of 10am and 6pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm on Saturdays. You can also book an appointment by calling the Single Point of Access on 01472 256256.
The Assisted Living Centre is also home to our wheelchair services workshop, where we carry our repairs and services and there’s a podiatry lab on-site as well.
Getting here
We’re located immediately behind the Gardens/Rharian Fields Navigo buildings on the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital site. You can park directly outside the building.
You can also access the centre on foot via the gated path on Second Avenue alongside the Grimsby Grange Care Home.
Opening times
You can collect and return equipment from the Kingsley Grove (hospital) entrance between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday and from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays.
Assessments for equipment:
Monday: 10am to 2pm
Tuesday: 2pm to 6pm
Wednesday: 10am to 2pm
Thursday: 2pm to 6pm
Friday: 10am to 2pm
Saturday: 10am to 4pm
