At NHS Humber Health Partnership we are proud to support those who serve.
We know that as serving personnel, veterans and members of the wider Armed Forces community, this can affect what you need from us, both as patients and as employees.
And our pledge to you is that you will always be treated fairly and not disadvantaged as a result of your connection to the Armed Forces.
Both Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are proud to be recognised as Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award accredited organisations.
We recognise the valuable contribution made by serving personnel, veterans, reservists, cadet forces volunteers, and Armed Forces families. Your skills, experiences, and dedication strengthen our workforce and enrich the care we provide to our patients and communities.

NHS Humber Health Partnership is also committed to the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, which means that we:
- Support the recruitment of veterans, reservists, and members of the Armed Forces Community
- Recognise and value the transferable skills gained through military service
- Support colleagues who are Armed Forces reservists to balance their NHS role with their military commitments
- Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for veterans and military families
- Raise awareness across our organisation about the experiences and needs of the Armed Forces Community
- Work with local and national partners to improve support pathways
Our Armed Forces Network
Both Trusts making up the NHS Humber Health Partnership (Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust) have thriving Armed Forces networks.
These bring colleagues together across the Trust who share an interest in supporting the Armed Forces Community.
The networks provide:
- A peer support community for veterans, reservists, and military families
- A voice for Armed Forces-related issues within the organisation
- Opportunities to share experiences and best practice
- Support for colleagues transitioning from military service into NHS careers
- Activities and events to recognise important Armed Forces occasions
