Blood tests
If you need a blood test, your GP practice should take your sample before sending it to us for testing. If your GP practice is struggling to take your blood, for example if they cannot find the vein, they may ask you to visit the Phlebotomy (Pathology) team at the hospital. If you need to visit either Scunthorpe, Grimsby or Goole hospital to have your sample taken, your GP will provide you with a phone number for you to make an appointment.
The Grimsby and Scunthorpe blood test appointment line for adult bloods is 03033 306670.
For children’s blood tests call 03033 302027 for appointments at Scunthorpe and 03033 303655 for Grimsby.
