Work experience
Work experience in the NHS is a fantastic way to gain insight into a particular career. It can also be a valuable way of getting some confidence and experience of working in a team and caring for people. Whether it is a short or long-term placement, full or part time, or on a structured or informal basis, work experience can help you choose the right career.
You need to have been in contact with a department that has agreed to take you on a placement first, before getting in touch with the team on nlg-tr.workexperience@nhs.net.
Placements
Joining us on placement will provide you with first-hand experience of what it’s like to work in a fast-paced acute hospital or community setting.
We receive high demand for placements, so we may not be able to accommodate every request we receive.
