Biography
I am an Upper Limb surgeon and routinely provide treatments for sports injury, soft tissue injuries, joint instability, fracture and arthritis of shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.
I have been working in Trauma & Orthopaedics since 2001. I developed a special interest in Upper Limb Surgery in 2007 and gained a wide experience in the field working along experienced surgeons. I have successfully completed my Fellowship training in Shoulder and Elbow as well as in Hand and Wrist at Avon Orthopaedic Centre, Bristol. My interest took a deep dive with active cadaver and clinical research leading to multiple presentations and publications.
I have been a full time Consultant in NHS since 2018. I worked at tertiary referral centre for SW England in Avon Orthopaedic Centre, Bristol. I have worked in Major Trauma Centres as Upper Limb Consultant in Southmead Hospital Bristol and Salford Royal Hospital in Manchester before taking up my current position at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.
I am Clinical Governance lead in the department championing Patient Safety and Quality Improvement.
I am a faculty member of training courses that teach surgeons in training practical skills and exam revision. I regularly teach the medical students from HYMS (Hull York Medical School).
