Please consider alternative and sustainable methods of travel to our hospital, including public or community transport, or arranging to be dropped off by a friend or relative.
If it is essential to travel by car, please adjust your travel plans to ensure adequate time to find a parking space prior to your visit or appointment.
All of our patient and visitor car parks at Castle Hill Hospital, now use Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR).
How ANPR works:
- A camera will read your number plate as you drive into our car park.
- You will need to “pay on exit” before returning to your car.
- When you reach the exit, the barrier will lift as long as you have paid.

Car Parking at our hospital sites is managed in compliance with BPA ( British Parking Association ) Approved Operator Scheme Code of Practice.
Anyone who believes that they have received a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) in error has the right to appeal and full details of how to do this are provided on the PCN via our car parking operator.
If a motorist remains unsatisfied following the appeals process, they can raise their case to the Parking on Private Land Appeals (POPLA) which is an independent appeals service.
Clear signage is displayed throughout our car parks to ensure that users are aware of the terms and conditions of parking before leaving their vehicle. The use of parking enforcement measures is intended to encourage compliance with these conditions and to promote fairness for all site users.
Our car parks have BPA Safer Parking and Park Access award accreditation. We are committed to ensure our parking arrangements are fair, transparent and properly regulated.
