Our Governor elections are now open for nominations: we’re searching for people who want to help us help improve and develop local hospital and community services.
Healthcare is undergoing major changes, nationally, regionally and locally with the introduction of Integrated Care Systems. We’re working with our system partners to plan and deliver services that are sustainable and to try to tackle some of the issues affecting local healthcare; from the ability to attract and retain staff, provide services in buildings that are fit for purpose and ensuring we work within our financial envelope. We need input from local people to help us shape services for the next generation and beyond.
Anyone can join as a member of the Trust, but why not go one step further and put yourself forward to become a Governor. Whether you have skills from another sector to bring to the table, or a passion to improve services based on your own experiences as a patient or carer; we want to hear from you!
We provide acute hospital and community services to a population of more than 450,000 people across a wide geographical area which includes North and North East Lincolnshire, East Riding of Yorkshire and West and East Lindsey.
Our Governors act as a link between patients, the public and our Board of Directors.
We’re looking for people to represent their local constituency and we have six public Governor seats available for the constituencies below, and also three staff Governors seats available:
- East & West Lindsey – 2 seats available
- North East Lincolnshire – 1 seat available
- North Lincolnshire – 3 seats available
- Staff governors – 3 seats available
Alison Hurley, Assistant Trust Secretary, said: “Don’t just have your say on health services, make a real difference and get involved and represent your local community. We’re on the lookout for people who want to help us help improve and develop local hospital and community services.
“There’s never been a better time to join us and help make a difference to local and regional health services. With so many changes afoot we really need people to be involved. As a Foundation Trust, Members and Governors are at the heart of what we do and how we do it. If you would like to put yourself forward, or know someone who you think would make a good governor, then please get in touch to with us.”
