Useful for anyone who would like to learn more about stress and anxiety and why we may experience them. Simply understanding more about stress and anxiety can be therapeutic.
Session 3 – Strategies for Managing Stress and Anxiety
Following on from the previous presentation, we address some evidence-based methods of improving our ability to manage stress and anxiety. This is a pragmatic presentation which will equip you with some practical tools you can use. Useful for anyone who would like to learn some evidence-based, practical ways of managing stress and/or anxiety.
Session 4 – What is Low Mood?
Similar to the ‘What is Stress and Anxiety?’ presentation, we discuss the nature of low mood and its psychological and biological factors. Useful for anyone who would like to learn more about low mood. Simply understanding more about low mood can be therapeutic.
Session 5 – Strategies for Managing Low Mood
Continuing on from the previous presentation, here we address some practical, evidence-based techniques to minimise and cope with low mood. By the end of the presentation you will have learnt some pragmatic tools to manage low mood. Useful for anyone who would like to learn some evidence-based methods to cope with low mood.
Session 6 – Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a relatively recent development which has origins in Buddhism. It is a secular, evidence-based approach which has been shown to be effective at reducing stress, anxiety, and low mood. In this presentation, we cover the principles of mindfulness and a practical exercise. By the end of the presentation, you will have learnt a new way of relating to your thoughts and have experience and knowledge of mindful practises. Useful for anyone who has an interest in mindfulness or who has heard of it and would like to learn more. And those who would like to learn an alternative way to classical approaches to managing anxiety, stress and low mood.
Session 7 – Tips to Improve Sleep
A brief, pragmatic presentation covering evidence-based ways of improving sleep. By the end of the presentation, you will have knowledge of practical strategies you can use to help you fall asleep and improve the quality of your sleep. Useful for anyone who would like to learn practical, evidence-based techniques to improve sleep.
